Who are we?

Hi there,

I am Barbara Penalver-Trejo, owner and lead planner of B & Z Events Co.

With a background in hospitality from FIU (go Panthers!) and 10 years of experience working in weddings and social events at some of Miami’s well-known venues, I took the leap in 2024 to turn my passion and experience into something of my own. That’s how B & Z Events Co. was born!

I love what I do, but even more than that, I love getting to know the people behind each celebration. Every couple has their own story, their own quirks, and their own idea of what makes a day special. I believe the best celebrations reflect the people at the heart of them, with thoughtful details, meaningful moments, and the people who matter most. My goal is to bring each couple’s vision to life in a way that feels personal, effortless, and true to them.

And when I’m not planning weddings…

I’m a wife, a mom to a sweet little girl who keeps me on my toes, and someone who loves making memories with the people closest to me. Whether it’s traveling, trying a new restaurant, planning our next adventure, or enjoying a cozy day with my family, I’m all about finding joy in the little things.
