Who are we?

Hi there!

I’m Barbara Penalver-Trejo, owner and lead planner of B & Z Events Co.

Event planning has always been a part of me, but it truly came to life during my time as an intern at The Coral Gables Country Club. That’s where I got my first real taste of weddings, non-profit events, and corporate events and I instantly knew I had found my place. Weddings, especially, completely stole my heart.

I’m an FIU graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, focused on Event Management, and a Certified Wedding Planner through the Certified Wedding Planner Society. Over the past 10 years, I’ve built my experience in the hotel industry, specializing in weddings and social events and falling more in love with the process every step of the way.

At B & Z Events Co., my approach is all about creating a seamless, elevated experience while still keeping things fun, personal, and true to you! I believe every detail matters and that the planning process should feel just as special as the day itself.
